This curb/sidewalk has been in disrepair for many months without resolve. There are orange cones showing danger but no attempt to fix it.
Please fix it it is dangerous.
I'll forward to DPW and engineering, as well as the WPCA (who may have some work left to do here that could be causing the hold-up) to see if we can get this addressed ASAP. I know with the sewar separation project on Trumbull Street and the goal of getting new sidewalks along Pearl Street still being discussed, this does have a long-term fix scheduled, but in the short-term, it looks dangerous and Ruth is right to be concerned about how this will function.
Ta, Roland. The opening is approx. the size of a curious toddler, the wooden safety barrier has broken and is a tripping hazard in its own right, and the current snow doesn't help. Locals have mostly learned to work around it, but what with the boom in fresh foot traffic thanks to Romeo's (thanks, Romeo's!), small or slender visitors are in real danger of falling into the clutches of the mad raccoons who live in that particular sewer! Joking aside, it would be great to get this fixed asap before the worst happens. (PS anyone know how it got so broken??)

Agreed with EastRockette,
This thing really needs to be repaired sooner than later.
Howard or Dick Miller, any timeline on this?
